- My partner convinced me to invest in the ClassicBed Tempur-Pedic
Mattress. In general, I was happy with my purchase. It's definitely
better than the regular mattress I used before, but perhaps my
expectations were just a little too high! At any rate, I am happy with
my purchase.
Courtesy of Alex Wolfe (9/10) - Best mattress I've ever slept on, without a doubt. I have back pain from golf and other sports injuries and I find the Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed to be very supportive. I would definitely make the same purchase if I had to do it all over again, and I would recommend the Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed to anyone.
Courtesy of Manny Joyner (6/10) - I guess The Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed mattress is probably slightly more comfortable than my previous mattress, but in my opinion, the difference is not enough to make up for the price difference. It's just OK.

I'm a little overweight <blush> and have had some minor issues with my back due to sleeping on regular mattresses. I bought the ClassicBed in hopes that it would at least help a bit. Boy did it ever! My back pain is GONE! I would never go back to a regular mattress ever.
Courtesy of Josh Gordon (9.5/10)- I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of the Tempur-pedic ClassicBed. Unlike a good portion of Tempurpedic purchasers, I am fortunate enough not to suffer from back pain (and considering my new purchase don't expect to any time soon). However, I have always been a big tosser/turner, adn I'd often have to shift positions several times before falling asleep, and would continue to toss and turn in my sleep, often times waking up to find myself in some ridiculous position I'd shifted to overnight. This problem was not only annoying to me, butalso to my wife, who would have a tough time falling and staying asleep with me moving around so much.
The Tempur-pedic ClassicBed we purchased solved both these problems wonderfully. After a couple month's use, I notice that I don't feel the need to shift about nearly as much as I used to with the old conventional mattress - and even if I do, now my wife says she can hardly notice because of the way the bed handles motion transferrence. And it's a good feeling to wake up in the morning in a position I actually remember getting into the night before (no more kicking the bedsheets off!).
All in all, I'd say it was definitely worth the money. I know this sounds like a 10/10 review, but I have not addressed the softness/firmness issue yet. The only minor upset was the surprising initial firmness of the mattress. The floor model we tested out in the store was absolutely cloud-like in texture, and you really felt yourself sinking into it when you layed down. As soon as I first pressed my hand down into our new mattress I could tell it was much firmer than the floor model in the store, and sleeping on it the first few nights it felt considerably firmer than than we were expecting. However, I did some internet research on this and found that this issue is not uncommon, and that often new purchasers are surprised at the initial firmness of the mattress, having tried the store model (which has been undoubtedly broken in by people testing it out over time). However, the bed has been gradually approaching the softness of the store model and has felt comfortable (even if a bit firm) since day 1, so this is not really that big of an issue.
I can't speak for back pain - but if
you're a tosser and turner, you will experience a difference with the
Tempur-pedic ClassicBed!
